Poha Recipe in Different Style

Poha is very popular recipe in India whether you make it for breakfast, snacks or main course,it is very simple and healthy to prepare.It is famous dish of Maharashtra & MP.

Many people make Potatao Poha with peanut & batata Poha but here I am going to tell you same Poha recipe in different style.Try it & trust me you are gonna really like it.

Prep Time:- 15-20 Min
Ingredients:-

  • Poha(flattened Rice)
  • Sugar
  • Curry leaves
  • Potato(optional)
  • Capsicum
  • Green Peas
  • Chopped Onion
  • Chopped Tomato(optional)
  • Cauliflower
  • Peanuts
  • Green Chillies
  • Mustard seeds(rai)
  • Cumin Seeds(optional)
  • Turmeric
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Lemon Juice

How to Make Poha:-

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai.Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,chopped green chilli. Fry for a min,
  2. Now add chopped onion & cook till it turn golden brown.
  3. Now add potato chopped in small cubes,chopped capsicum,cauliflower,green peas and fry it for a min.
  4. Then add turmeric powder little bit, curry leaves,salt & let it be cook till it became golden & crispy.
  5. Meanwhile roast peanuts in another pan and side by side rinse poha in running water twice in strainer(shown in fig below).Do not rinse too much else poha gets mashy and breaks.


  1. Now sprinkle pinch of sugar and then add poha in kadhai,Mix it gently.
  2. After 2-3 Min add chopped tomato(tomato should be 1/4 quantity of onion) and Mix well.
  3. Now add roasted peanuts and stir well for few more mins on low flame.
  4. Once Poha became softens switch off the flame & covered with lid.
  5. While serving Poha garnish with green coriander leaves & Lemon Juice.

Recipe Note:-

  1. If you don't want slight sweet taste skip adding sugar in 6th step.
  2. If you prefer little bit sour taste, only then add 1 tbsp lemon juice.

Makhana Kheer Recipe :- Navratri Fasting Special

Makhana(FoxNut) one of the most healthy fasting dish used specially in fasting season like Navratri & Ganesh Chaturthi.

You can use makhana in your fasting in several ways.Here i am gonna represent the delicious dessert i.e makhana kheer in few easy steps.


Makhana

Cuisine: North Indian
Prep Time:- 30 Min

Ingredients:-


  • Makhana
  • organic Milk
  • Sugar
  • Cardamom Powder
  • Dry Fruits(cashew-nuts, almonds,raisins)
  • Ghee
  • Saffron(optional)

Kheer Recipe:-


  1. Heat ghee in a pan,add 1 cup makhana and 8-10 cashews.
  2. Roast till makhana became crunchy and cashew became golden on low flame.You can also roast almond here if you want.Now keep them aside.
  3. Add organic milk just double in quantity of makhana in a thick bottom Pan.
  4. Keep stirring time to time so that milk doesn't scorch in bottom.
  5. In between keep 1/4 makhana as it is and grind rest of the makhana in a grinder.
  6. You can also grind cashew & almond along with makhana, if you don't want to use it whole.
  7. Once milk comes to boil add sugar as per your taste.
  8. Now add cardamom powder,saffron and stir well for a min.
  9. In next step add grinded makhana powder and stir for one more min.
  10. The add reserved 1/4 makhana and strir very well.
  11. Keep stirring till the makhana became soften on low to medium flame around 10 mins.
  12. Also remove evaporated milk from the sides and add it to the milk.
  13. Now in this step you can add golden roasted cashew & almond if you didn't grind them along with makhana in above step.Add raisin too.
  14. Stir and simmer for few more mins.
  15. Switch off the flame,your kheer is ready.
  16. Serve Makhana kheer either warm or chilled.

Indian Street Food:Pav Bhaji Recipe

One of the best Indian street food undoubtedly is Pav Bhaji,which is very well liked in Mumbai.But now it has been gained popularity all over India as well.

So Guyz, today i am gonna present Mumbai style best popular,delicious and tasty Pav Bhaji recipe.However in this section I will cover only Bhaji recipe. I will surley post Pav recipe in our next section.So get ready to learn how to make bhaji in just a simple way.

Pav Bhaji Recipie
Preparation Time:- 20-30 Min
Ingredients:-

  • Vegetables whatever you like ,most commonly are- cauliflower,potato,carrot,bell pepper,eggplant(brinjal)
  • Boiled Green Peas
  • Chopped Tomato
  • Chopped Onion
  • KasuriMethi
  • Dry mango Powder(amchoor)
  • Lemon
  • Chopped Green Chilli
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Turmeric(Haldi)
  • Cumin Seeds(Jeera)
  • Pav Bhaji Masala(Readymade)
  • Fennel seeds(Saunf)
  • Butter
  • Chopped Green Coriander(hari dhaniya)
  • Asafoetida
  • Salt
  • Pav(Ready-Made)

Bhaji Recipe:-

  • First of all put all vegetables mentioned above in a cooker,add little bit chopped green chilies,water and bring it to boil and cook till it became mashy.
  • Now take a pan and add some butter,cumin seeds,chopped onions and fry till it became golden color.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste & fry till raw aroma has gone,now add turmeric little bit,chopped green chilly and then add chopped tomatoes and boiled green peas.
  • Cook for 2-3 mins then add fennel seeds/powder, dry mango powder,kasurimethi little bit and red chilli powder.
  • Don't let this mixture get dry,so add little bit of water and at last add a pinch of asafoetida(Hing),you have to add Pav bhaji Masala(readymade) now,salt & let it be cooked for few more minutes.
  • Now add all boiled vegetables and press with mashing tool(shown in below fig) so that all vegetables became mashed,cook for few mins.




  • Add few pieces of butter as it makes mixture saucy,cook for a min & then add chopped green coriander.
  • You can also add red color in last, if you want your bhaji looks reddish in color just like at Juhu Beach.
  •  Switch the flame off.Your mouthwatering delicious Bhaji is ready now .

Pav:-
  • Now take pav and cut it from middle equally
  • Add piece of butter in a pan and bake piece of pav both side .

Platting:-

  • Take a plate put pav aside,
  • In a bowl add bhaji mixture and add lemon and at last garnish with chopped coriander and onion just like shown in fig.
  • Now you are all set to serve beautiful & tasty pav-bhaji to your dear ones.

Rasmalai Recipe in the simplest form..

As in our India People use to say that "Acche kam ki shuruat...kuch Meetha kha k karni chaiye". :) Keep this saying in my mind here I am going to write my first post for the Indian Bengali sweets i.e Rasmalai Recipe in one of the simplest and quickest form.




Total Time Taken:- 30 Min
Ingredients:-


  1. Milk
  2. Lemon
  3. Sugar
  4. Cardamom Powder
  5. Dry Fruits(Cashew-nut,Almond,Pista)
  6. Saffron(Kesar)


How to make Chenna:-


  • Put 1/2 kg Milk in a pan and make it boil.
  • Now add diluted lemon juice in it and stir until it make curdles completely(as shown in fig below).Add more lemon if needed.




  • Drain it in a muslin cloth and put it under running cold water,so that lemon taste has gone.
  • Squeeze the excess water and make a tight knot.
  • Now hang it on 45 min to 1 hr(shown in pic)



  • Add this chenna to a plate and knead it well approx 5-6 min,so that it became smooth n soft.You can also grind it in mixer.
  • Make 10-12 equal balls and flatten them in between your palm(just like shown in pic below).Set these ball aside.



Sugar Syrup:- 

  • Now put 3-4 cup water in a pan and bring it to boil with 1 cup sugar.Stir and add cardamom powder.
  • Add all balls in the syrup, put a lid on the pan and bring them boil for atleast 15 min.
  • Take off the balls from water and cool them.
  • Now squeeze them softly in between your palms to remove sugar syrup.Keep them aside.
How to make Rabri:-
  • Add 3 cup fat milk or full cream milk in a deep heavy bottom pan and boil.Add saffron and sugar when milk comes to boil.
  • Stir every 2-3 min and just move the layer of cream aside in pan.
  • Boil until the milk thickens and reduce it to the half of the quantity.Set this aside.
  • Keep this rabri in freeze for 2 hrs.

Platting:-

Put the chenna balls in a plate and add Rabri on top and garnish with grated dry fruits.
You can also chill it for few min and serve.
